Powerful Pacific System Impacting the West; First Significant Snow for Portions of the East

Power Pacific system will continue to bring significant impacts for Pacific Northwest into northern California the remainder of the week. 2 inches of rain and melting snow causes flooding around Sandpoint. 100 people were stranded at Schweitzer Ski resort. Sand Creek reservoir, which provides 90% of Sandpoint's water supply, was ruined by debris. Bridges and power lines fell throughout Bonner and Boundary counties.
