Medium to high chances for showers and thunderstorms will continue across Middle Tennessee through Tuesday night, then we will get a break from rain chances late week. Some storms could produce locally heavy rainfall, which could lead to localized flooding. The greatest severe storm threat will come late Tuesday with a level 2 out of 5 risk for damaging winds. Hot and humid conditions will continue through Tuesday, then cooler and drier air will move in for a few days.
The risk for severe storms is increasing for Tuesday, mainly late afternoon and evening. Damaging winds will be the main concern. The risk level is 2 out of 5 across the north half of Middle Tennessee and level 1 out of 5 in the south. Please stay tuned for updates and more details.
