Middle Tennessee Weather History For July 6th...
On July 6, 1930...It is a sultry day in one of the most oppressive
heat waves in Middle Tennessee history. The high at Nashville reaches
99 degrees, following a morning low of 76. The mean temperature of 88
degrees sets a record for this date. The temperature at Tullahoma and
Waynesboro also climbs to 99 degrees. Franklin and McMinnville hit
100; Dover, 101; and Lewisburg, 103.
