Announced earlier this month, check out the 69 selected organizations who have gone above and beyond to work toward a more Weather-Ready Nation for all, including vulnerable and underserved communities by:

  • Serving as change agents and leaders in their communities to inspire others to take action.
  • Collaborating with NOAA and/or other ambassador organizations to achieve goals they could not otherwise meet.
  • Engaging their community in unique and innovative ways to address societal needs.

The National Weather Service cannot build a Weather-Ready Nation alone. As shown through the Weather-Ready Nation Ambassador Program — which is now more than 11,700 strong — greater partnerships across government, non-profits, academia and private industry can enhance the nation’s readiness for extreme weather.

Want to know how you can help your community become more ready, responsive and resilient to extreme weather and water events?
