Rain returns today through Friday. The North Bay Coast Ranges will see up to 0.50" to 1", Santa Cruz Mountains, North Bay Valleys, and Santa Lucia Range could see up to 0.25", and other locations across the region seeing less than 0.20".

Coastal flooding expected at prone low-lying coastal locations across the San Francisco Bay shoreline during peak high tide cycles. Dangerous wave action is increasing across area waters and beaches. A High Surf Advisory is in effect thru 11 AM Saturday across ocean waters Coastal North Bay, SF Peninsula coast, Monterey Bay and Big Sur coasts. Large breaking waves of 12 to 15 feet and up to 18 feet on NW facing beaches. There's also an increased risk for sneaker waves and rip current. Dangerous conditions for inexperienced surfers and swimmers. Unexpected waves may sweep people into the sea from rocks, jetties, and beaches. NEVER turn your back on the ocean.
