Rain is on the way! Are you ready? Now's your opportunity to be prepared. Two rounds of rainfall are anticipated. Round 1 is late tonight (Wednesday) through noon on Thursday. Round 2 is Friday into Saturday. Clean gutters and storm drains, find your rain gear, and make sure your car is in good shape for wet conditions. In addition, be prepared for longer commute times during rainy conditions.
There will be an opportunity for isolated thunderstorms Friday afternoon and into the morning hours on Saturday across the Bay Area and northern Monterey Bay regions. The main impacts will be ponding of water on road surfaces, slick travel due to accumulating small hail, and unsecured objects being blown about in the wind due to gusty outflow.
