Last Map Update: Tue, Apr 29, 2025 at 9:20:19 pm PDT

A major systems upgrade will occur from April 28th to the 30th, which may impact some of our services. Impacts include: NOAA Weather Radio stations off the air - have multiple ways to receive warnings! Possible interruptions to climate summaries and regional temperature and precipitation tables. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
Very isolated showers and a storm or two are possible with lightning being the primary hazard. Small hail and gusty winds are also possible. There’s a 10-15% chance for thunderstorms across the North Bay and higher terrain of eastern San Benito and adjacent parts of Monterey County (Gabilan Range). The likely hazards are gusty winds to 35 mph, small accumulating hail, and isolated lightning strikes associated with thunderstorms. Stay weather aware and check back for updates. Remember: when thunder roars go indoors!
An early May storm system will bring increased opportunities for wind across the area (especially coastal regions) Friday. These windy conditions may linger through late Saturday/early Sunday. There's around at least a 70% chance that winds will gust at or above 30 mph for areas along the Pacific Ocean (including the San Francisco and Monterey Bay regions). Be sure to secure loose outdoor articles as we progress through the week. Also anticipate difficult driving conditions for high profile vehicles. Finally, be sure to check back for updates to the forecast.
