Severe Weather and Heavy Rain in the Southeast; Late-Season Snowstorm in the Central Rockies

Severe thunderstorms across Texas to the southern Appalachians pose risks of damaging winds, large hail, a couple of tornadoes, and potential flooding through Wednesday. Warmer temperatures are set to arrive just in time for the upcoming weekend and beyond. Moderate HeatRisk, especially for interior locations, is expected to develop by the end of the weekend and persist into next week. Areas closer to the coast are expected to be in Minor HeatRisk Saturday and Sunday. No heat products have been issued at this time, however stay updated on the forecast for vulnerable populations, if you have outdoor plans or will be working outside.
