Record Breaking Temperatures and Critical Fire Weather

More than 200 record or near record maximum temperatures are forecast across the southern half of the U.S. through the end of this week before additional record temperatures center back over the Southwest U.S. into the Rockies this weekend. Temperatures will warm ahead of the front on Thursday and Friday, followed by light rain with a weak cold front during the late afternoon and evening hours on Friday. No significant weather is expected. Very dry but mild Saturday.
