ROSA COUNTIES IN FLORIDA.  MAXIMUM TIDES OF 6 TO 9 FEET ABOVE
NORMAL OCCURRED ALONG MOBILE COUNTY IN ALABAMA AND OKALOOSA
COUNTY IN FLORIDA.  THE HIGHEST LEVELS OCCURRED BETWEEN MIDNIGHT
AND 400 AM ON SEPTEMBER 16 AS IVAN MOVED ASHORE...WITH PEAK
VALUES LIKELY OCCURRING ACROSS SOUTHEAST BALDWIN COUNTY AND
   SOUTHWEST ESCAMBIA COUNTY.

G. TORNADOES...

NONE CONFIRMED...HOWEVER VERY HIGH WINDS ASSOCIATED WITH THE

TORNADOES.  THESE REPORTS WERE MOST LIKELY THE RESULT OF INTENSE
WINDS IN THE EYEWALL...AND NOT FROM TORNADOES.

H. STORM EFFECTS...

PRELIMINARY DAMAGE SURVEYS INDICATE THAT THIS WILL LIKELY BE
THE MOST DESTRUCTIVE HURRICANE TO HIT BALDWIN...ESCAMBIA...
SANTA ROSA AND OKALOOSA COUNTIES IN OVER A HUNDRED YEARS.
PRELIMINARY DAMAGE ESTIMATES COULD EXCEED 5 BILLION DOLLARS.
CONSIDERABLE WIND DAMAGE OCCURRED ACROSS ALL OF OUR INLAND
   COUNTIES...ESPECIALLY ALONG A NORTH-SOUTH LINE EXTENDING FROM
ATMORE TO MONROEVILLE TO CAMDEN. PRELIMINARY DEATH TOTALS WERE 13
   DIRECTLY ATTRIBUTED TO IVAN.
