Mid-May Damaging Wind Event

Summary of all Local Storm Reports (LSRs) on May 13th, as well as all the LSRs across the region for this event. 

Storm survey teams preliminarily concluded that there was a swath of 85-95 mph damaging winds that occurred in Mobile County, AL.

Survey Summary:
A swath of straight-line wind damage was observed from near Axis,
AL southeastward to the Tensaw River Delta, approximately one mile
east of Interstate 65. Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted
and were lying in a southeasterly direction. A few trees fell on
homes and outbuildings causing damage. This damage was observed on
the following roads: Old Highway 43, Country Lane, Hurst Drive,
Creola Axis Loop Road, Bell Drive, Hall Drive, Lyon Drive, Long
Road, Dead Lake Road, and Dead Lake Marina Road. The damage path
ended near the River Delta Marina & Campground.
