Summary of all Local Storm Reports (LSRs) on May 6th, as well as all the LSRs across the region for this event.
Storm survey teams preliminarily concluded that there were 2 EF-1 tornadoes in our forecast area. 1 tornado occurred near downtown Mobile (Mobile County, AL) with 1 tornado in the Daphne area (Baldwin County, AL).

Mobile Tornado (Mobile County, AL)

Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 110 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.29 miles Path Width /maximum/: 25.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/06/2022 Start Time: 02:56 AM CDT Start Location: 1 S Downtown Mobile / Mobile County / AL Start Lat/Lon: 30.6735 / -88.056 End Date: 05/06/2022 End Time: 02:57 AM CDT End Location: 1 S Downtown Mobile / Mobile County / AL End Lat/Lon: 30.6771 / -88.0535 Survey Summary: A brief and very narrow high end EF-1 tornado touched down at the Greer`s and Family Dollar on Broad Street. The tornado directly moved over the Family Dollar with the building completely destroyed. The tornado lifted off the roof and then the roof collapsed back down onto building, resulting in its destruction. The tornado continued to produce sporadic EF0 damage to the northeast and lifted near Texas Street just east of Broad Street.

Rating: EF1 Estimated Peak Wind: 95 mph Path Length /statute/: 0.26 miles Path Width /maximum/: 25.0 yards Fatalities: 0 Injuries: 0 Start Date: 05/06/2022 Start Time: 03:47 AM CDT Start Location: 1 W Belforest / Baldwin County / AL Start Lat/Lon: 30.6044 / -87.8758 End Date: 05/06/2022 End Time: 03:48 AM CDT End Location: 1 W Belforest / Baldwin County / AL End Lat/Lon: 30.6074 / -87.8736 Survey Summary: A brief EF1 tornado first touched down just north of County Road 64, west of Capital Drive. A home at this location was damaged by an downed tree. The tornado then moved northeast and significantly damaged a large metal building at the intersection of Capital Drive and Rand Avenue, pulling exterior wall panels and brick facade from the east side of the building. The tornado also picked up two large metal sheds and tossed them in different directions. The tree damage in the area also displayed a convergent pattern. The tornado lifted near or just before it reached Public Works Road.
