Rough surf and a high rip of numerous, dangerous rip currents at all Atlantic beaches of Central Florida today. Rip currents can sweep even the best swimmers away from shore into deeper water. Residents and visitors are strongly encouraged to stay out of the surf.
Poor to hazardous boating conditions continue today, Wednesday, January 15, 2025, for the local Atlantic waters of Central Florida. A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect for the Brevard and Treasure Coast segments of the Gulf Stream until 1 PM for seas up to 7 feet, and small craft should exercise caution in the rest of the area for seas 4 to 6 feet and northerly winds 15 to 20 knots.
A very chill start to the day with wind chill values in the 30s and 40s for most. Afternoon highs warming into the 60s and low 70s. A high risk of rip currents exist at all beaches. Entering the surf is not advised.
