Click/tap image to enlarge | There is is a threat for strong to marginally severe storms ahead of a cold front this evening as a band of showers and storms push southeast into east central Florida. Stronger storms will be capable of producing 45-60 mph winds, deadly lightning, and locally heavy rainfall. A tornado or two can not be ruled out. Remember to have more than one way to receive a warning!
Click/tap image to enlarge | A Wind Advisory is in effect for Volusia, Lake, Seminole, and Orange counties through 6 PM today. Windy today, with frequent gusts up to around 35 mph within the Advisory. Wind gusts 25 to 30 mph OUTSIDE of the Advisory area.
Click/tap image to enlarge | A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for ALL of the central FL Atlc waters. Seas will gradually build to 4 to 7 feet - highest offshore. Southerly winds will increase to 15 to 25 knots with stronger gusts.
Click/tap image to enlarge | A HIGH rip current risk is in effect through late tonight at ALL central FL Atlc beaches. Rough surf is also occurring. In addition, a strong northward-flowing longshore current is also present. It is strongly advised to stay out of the chilly surf!
