High rain and storm chances continue this afternoon and evening. Saturated grounds coupled with locally heavy rainfall will potentially cause additional Flooding concerns across the area today. Locally heavy rainfall of 2 to 4 inches with amounts of up to 5 to 6 inches possible in slower moving or repeated bands of showers and storms today. Additional storm hazards will be gusty winds of 40 to 50 mph and occasional to frequent cloud to ground lightning strikes. Small craft should exercise caution in the offshore waters of Volusia. There is a Moderate Risk of rip currents at all area beaches. Always swim near a lifeguard and never swim alone!
