Heat and storms are in the forecast to end the last September weekend across east central Florida. Showers and storms will move northeast today with higher coverage expected north of a line from Kissimmee to Titusville. The heat continues with highs in the lower 90s. A Heat Advisory is in effect for Okeechobee County and the Treasure Coast for maximum heat indices from 108 to 111 degrees. A moderate risk of rip currents is forecast for the Atlantic beaches.
