Powerful Pacific System Impacting the West; First Significant Snow for Portions of the East

Power Pacific system will continue to bring significant impacts for Pacific Northwest into northern California the remainder of the week. Dangerous coastal affects, heavy rain, flooding, strong winds, and higher elevation mountain snow continues. Much cooler and breezy today.
Isolated showers will continue to push east to southeast from about Melbourne southward over the next couple of hours. A cold front will push across the area later tonight, bringing cooler and breezy/gusty conditions behind it. Overnight lows will drop into the low to mid 50s with northwest winds increasing to 10-15 mph with gusts 20-25 mph behind the front. A Small Craft Advisory will go into effect across the offshore waters at 10 PM tonight, and across the nearshore waters at 1 AM Thursday morning.
