A Marginal Risk (5-14%) for Excessive rainfall exists today. The potential exists for a few storms capable of wind gusts up to 40-55mph, frequent lightning, and heavy rainfall (up to 2-4"+). Seasonable temperatures are expected.

Seasonably hot high temperatures in the upper 80s to mid 90s are forecast through the period, which when combined with humidity, will result in widespread peak afternoon heat index values of 102°F-107°F. Remember to practice heat safety if spending considerable time outdoors, especially during peak daytime heating.
Click/tap image to enlarge | Two disturbances in the Atlantic and Gulf have low (10%) chances of develop over the next 7 days. The remnants of Tropical Storm Dolly which is now a wave east of the Leeward Islands has a low chance to redevelop while moving west-northwestward at 25 mph. In the Gulf, development, if any, of an area of weak low pressure will be slow over the next several days as the feature remains nearly stationary.
