Remaining warm and muggy with hottest temperatures across the south where peak heat indices will reach 102 to 105 across Okeechobee and Treasure coast counties. A Moderate risk of rip currents exists at the beaches.

Scattered to numerous showers and lightning storms are forecast to develop this afternoon and evening (mainly between 2pm-9pm). Heavy rain will have the potential to lead to flooding of low-lying areas and ponding of water on roadways; swales may fill.
