STATE OF WASHINGTON STATEWIDE DROUGHT EMERGENCY (see link) continues to at least April 15, 2025 Current conditions are mostly drier than normal and could worsen U.S. Drought Monitor National Weather Service Seattle, WA Drought intensity and Extent D1 (Moderate Drought): Washington Cascades and foothills, north and west Olympic Peninsula D0: (Abnormally Dry): Rest of western Washington Recent Change in Drought Intensity Four Week Drought Monitor Class Change. Drought Worsened: Over much of the area with a 1 category change for the Cascades, foothills, and much of the Olympic Peninsula Precipitation Last 30, 120 days Much of western Washington had below normal precipitation for the last 30 days and especially the last 120 days Many areas were 25% to 75% of normal Summary of Impacts Hydrologic Impacts Water supply outlook is for near normal to below normal (NWS NWRFC) Snowpack conditions are below normal (NRCS) Agricultural Impacts There are no known impacts at this time during the winter Fire Hazard Impacts There are no known impacts at this time during the winter Other Impacts Washington State Declared Drought Emergency except for limited areas in Seattle, Tacoma and Everett continues Mitigation Actions Please refer to your municipality and/or water provider for mitigation information.
