Abnormally Dry (D0) area remains across northern Indiana All Drought (D1 or worse) removed from the state U.S. Drought Monitor Drought intensity and Extent D0: (Abnormally Dry): Carroll, Howard Recent Change in Drought Intensity Four Week Drought Monitor Class Change One to three class improvement over central Indiana, with the largest improvement over northern parts of central Indiana Precipitation Near normal precipitation was the rule across the state the past 30 days (75 to 150%) Summary of Impacts Hydrologic Impacts Some groundwater stations still below normal Agricultural Impacts Below normal soil moisture across northern half of Indiana Fire Hazard Impacts None reported Other Impacts None reported Mitigation Actions None reported Hydrologic Conditions and Impacts Near normal streamflow across most of the state, with some below normal streamflow on parts of the upper and middle Wabash and the Maumee basins Agricultural Impacts Soil moisture is below normal across the northern half of the state, and normal across southern Indiana Seven Day Precipitation Forecast The seven day precipitation forecast shows less than a tenth of an inch across the state Long-Range Outlooks February outlooks show a strong signal for above normal precipitation with mid range probabilities for near normal temperatures Drought Outlook No Drought is expected across Indiana through the end of April
