The overall flood potential over the next two weeks ranges from NEAR AVERAGE across the Allegheny Plateau to BELOW AVERAGE in the Lower Susquehanna Valley. 30-Day and 60-Day Precipitation Departures: Both 30-Day and 60-Day Precipitation Departures have been below to well average across Central Pennsylvania. Latest Snow Water Equivalent (SWE): The latest Snow Water Equivalent (SWE) map shows that there was no snow cover across Central Pennsylvania as of April 4, 2025. Hydrologic Conditions and Impacts: Streamflows are generally running below to well below average across most of Central Pennsylvania as of April 4, 2025. Soil Moisture Conditions: As of April 2, 2025, soil moisture conditions were below to well below average across Central Pennsylvania. Seven Day Precipitation Forecast: The 7-Day precipitation forecast ranges from 0.50 to 0.75 inches across the Lower Susquehanna Valley up to 1.75 to 2.00 inches across the northwestern plateau. 8-14 Day Temperature and Precipitation Outlooks: The 8-14 day forecast for the week of April 11-17, 2025 calls for a trend towards near average temperatures and near average precipitation across Central Pennsylvania.
