First evidence of tornado damage was on a farm N of Libertyville where a heavy gravity-flow grain bed was pulled off its mounting, a concrete block structure destroyed, and a tile block building partially demolished.  The next damage was on a farm in Coffman.  A large part of the front of the house was removed and strewn across the front yard.  A large 2 X 4 was thrust through the bedroom wall and landed on the bed.  The back of the house was bent out of shape, and a heavy freezer was thrown across the yard on its side.  Four cartons of soda against the wall that was torn off were not disturbed, while the mattress on the bed of the opposite side of the room was ripped off and thrown into the front yard.  Two large barns were also scattered over the field, and a propane gas tank was damaged.
