A winter storm brought heavy wet snow to parts of the region on February 26th 2013. Numerous thundersnow reports across central and northeast Missouri, as well as west central Illinois aided in heavy snowfall and accumulation of 6 to 10 inches. Further south and east, the snow mixed with sleet and rain, limiting accumulation to only a dusting in the western suburbs of the St. Louis Metropolitan Area.
