An approaching front will bring rain to the area as early as Friday for northern San Luis Obispo County, spreading through most of the region Friday night into Saturday morning. Expecting mostly light rain with accumulations under 1 inch, except for the Santa Lucia Range and far northwestern San Luis Obispo County which could see totals in the 1-1.5 inch range. Snow levels will be quite high, with no snow expected for mountains roadways and passes. The main impacts will be wet, slippery roads and an increase in traffic incidents. More rain is expected Sunday into early next week.
