Extreme Heat and Tropical Storm Bertha Impacts

Dangerous heat will expand from the Gulf Coast into the Southern Plains and Desert Southwest through week's end. Additional extreme heat impacting the Pacific Northwest will shift to the northern Plains by the weekend. KXI86 Crescent City, 162.500 MHz

NOAA All Hazards Weather Radio station KXI-86 serves portions of northeast Illinois and northwest Indiana, including Iroquois County and surrounding areas, from a 300 Watt transmitter in Crescent City, Illinois. The nominal effective range of the transmitter is about 40 miles. Continuous 24 hour programming is provided from the National Weather Service Chicago Forecast Office, located southwest of Chicago in Romeoville Illinois.
