...A Look Back at the Climate for the Month of April 2024 for
Chicago and Rockford...

At Chicago, the average high temperature was 61.6 degrees, which
is 2.6 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was
43.8 degrees, which is 3.5 degrees above normal. The average
temperature for the month was 52.7 degrees, which is 3.0 degrees
above normal. 3.47 inches of liquid precipitation were recorded,
which is 0.28 inches below normal. A trace of snow was recorded,
which is 1.3 inches below normal.

No daily or top ten monthly records were set for Chicago during
this past April.



At Rockford, the average high temperature was 62.4 degrees, which
is 2.7 degrees above normal. The average low temperature was
40.9 degrees, which is 2.4 degrees above normal. The average
temperature for the month was 51.7 degrees, which is 2.6 degrees
above normal. 3.89 inches of liquid precipitation were recorded,
which is 0.14 inches above normal. 0.5 inches of snow were
recorded, which is 0.4 inches below normal.
