A National Weather Service Damage Assessment Team has surveyed the storm damage in northern St. Tammany Parish near Bush, LA. It has been determined the damage was the result of a tornado. The tornado has been rated an EF-2 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale. Damage estimates were consistent with winds of 115 mph. The tornado touched down along Esbon Road and tracked to the East-Northeast. One wood frame house was lifted off of a tied down cinder block foundation and destroyed. Another home had about half of the roofing deck removed from the rear of the home. The tornado damage path was 1/2 a mile long and was 100 yards wide at its widest point. One injury was reported. |
