APPROACHING THE CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO...IS EXPECTED TO MOVE
NORTHWEST THEN NORTH ACROSS THE NORTH CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO WITH
LANDFALL OVER SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA AND COASTAL MISSISSIPPI MONDAY.
HURRICANE FORCE WINDS WILL SPREAD INLAND ACROSS MOST OF SOUTHEAST AND
EAST CENTRAL LOUISIANA AND SOUTH MISSISSIPPI SUNDAY NIGHT AND MONDAY.

...AN INLAND HURRICANE WARNING HAS BEEN ISSUED FROM TONIGHT UNTIL
MONDAY NIGHT...

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN NEW ORLEANS HAS ISSUED AN INLAND
HURRICANE WARNING FOR EAST CENTRAL AND SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA AND
SOUTH MISSISSIPPI.

A HURRICANE WARNING IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR LOWER SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA
AND THE MISSISSIPPI GULF COAST.

HURRICANE KATRINA...A CATEGORY FOUR HURRICANE APPROACHING THE
CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO...IS EXPECTED TO TURN NORTHWEST AND MAKE
LANDFALL OVER SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA AND SOUTH MISSISSIPPI ON
MONDAY. TROPICAL STORM FORCE WINDS ARE LIKELY WELL AHEAD OF THE
CENTER OF KATRINA EARLY SUNDAY EVENING...THEN HURRICANE FORCE WINDS
ARE EXPECTED TO SPREAD FROM SOUTH TO NORTH SUNDAY NIGHT INTO MONDAY.

AN INLAND HURRICANE WARNING IS ISSUED WHEN SUSTAINED WINDS NEAR
HURRICANE FORCE...OR FREQUENT GUSTS AT OR ABOVE HURRICANE FORCE...
ARE EXPECTED WITHIN THE NEXT 24 HOURS.

REMEMBER...HURRICANE FORCE WINDS MAY BE STRONG ENOUGH TO DAMAGE
MOBILE HOMES...SHEDS...ROOF TILES AND TOPPLE BILLBOARDS...TREES AND
POWER LINES. RESIDENTS ARE URGED TO RUSH ALL PREPAREDNESS ACTIVITIES
TO COMPLETION.
