HURRICANE KATRINA...LOCATED OVER THE SOUTHEAST GULF OF MEXICO...IS EXPECTED TO SLOWLY INTENSIFY OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS AS THE STORM MAKES A GRADUAL TURN TOWARD THE WEST-NORTHWEST.
