Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible from the central Plains to the Northeast through this evening. Widespread damaging winds are the primary threat but hail and a tornado or two is also possible. Tornadoes Impact Coastal Mississippi April 2nd

A strong upper level disturbance brought a line of severe thunderstorms containing tornadoes and damaging straight line winds to Coastal Mississippi during the day on April 2nd.

At this time, 2 tornadoes have been confirmed from this event. Both of these tornadoes have been determined to be EF0 strength after NWS storm surveys were conducted.
