January 17 2018 Hoarfrost

The area woke up to a very frosty start with many trees, power poles and other surfaces coated in what looked like snow. But was it??? Actually, what most areas saw (away from Lake Michigan) was a phenomenon called hoarfrost. Below are a few pictures taken by Patrick Murphy outside our office.
