24TH WHEN TEN TORNADOES SPUN THROUGH THE REGION. A WOMAN WAS KILLED

NEAR LAPORTE WHEN HER HOME WAS BLOWN OFF ITS FOUNDATION INTO A

FIELD. AN F3 TORNADO STRUCK CRUMSTOWN SOUTHWEST OF SOUTH BEND. THE

CRUMSTOWN TORNADO...AT F1 STRENGTH...STRUCK OR CAME VERY CLOSE TO

WEATHER OBSERVING EQUIPMENT AT MICHIANA REGIONAL AIRPORT WHERE A 90

MPH WIND GUST WAS RECORDED. AN F3 TWISTER TORE THROUGH PUTNAM COUNTY.
