Hazardous conditions return along the coast Friday night through Monday as another round of long period swell reaches the coastal waters. Breaking waves up to 20 feet along west-facing beaches will lead to an increased risk of sneaker waves and rip currents, creating hazardous and life-threatening conditions for beachgoers. Breaking waves can sweep people and debris off jetties and docks, and into cold dangerous seas with stronger currents than normal. Follow the safety advice of local officials and never turn your back on the ocean! #CAwx

There is a 10-15% chance for isolated thunderstorms with an associated low pressure system on Sunday across a good portion of the Bay Area and Central Coast. Remember, that when thunder roars, go indoors or see a flash, dash inside! Very brief heavy rainfall will also be possible.
A couple of storm systems will bring mostly light rainfall this weekend, with slightly heavier rainfall next week. Just about all of the Bay Area and Central Coast will have the opportunity for rainfall. The first wave of light rain is forecast Saturday Evening - Monday Evening with the second wave of light to moderate rainfall forecast Tuesday Morning - Thursday Evening. While not overly impactful, anticipate wet commutes to work and school as well as ponding and very minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas.
