Vina
An initially very weak and narrow tornado touched down in the Vina community along Highway 19 just west of Maple Street. Here some limbs were snapped off of a stand of trees on the south side of the road. Additional very minor tree damage was noted south of Highway 19. A tree was uprooted near a home along Cedar street south of Highway 19. The tornado then likely crossed Highway 19 very near two community storm shelters and the local fire department. No discernible damage was identifiable here, but it should be noted that the shelters were open and occupied due to watches and warnings being in effect. Damage was once again noted on the south and west side of the Vina High School. On the south side, a large tree was snapped and a home sustained roof damage. The athletic fields sustained damage to the fences and a baseball dugout was destroyed. Several large unanchored objects here were thrown large distances. The school sustained roof damage in several locations including uplift of the roof on the main building. Windows were also blown out here by the wind with other damage due to the flying debris. Awnings were also destroyed connecting different portions of the school. The tornado was rated EF-0 here with maximum winds of 80 mph due to the damage to the roof in several different locations. The width was estimated to be around 75 yards. The tornado lifted up and blew away shingles on another building here before lifting in the wooded area east northeast of the school.

4 SSW Waterloo - 3 SSW Waterloo
A NWS and Colbert County survey team investigated significant tree damage in the Riverton area. The damage was associated with a weak tornado embedded in a line of thunderstorms along a cold front. The damage occurred at 537 UTC, as estimated on radar.

5 E Camp Hill - 2 E Waverly
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in extreme northern Lee County and extreme southern Chambers near Waverly and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-1 tornado. This tornado formed along the squall line on Wednesday afternoon in extreme northwestern Lee County. The first damage surveyed was along Lee Road 88 just southwest of US Highway 280 near Waverly. The tornado then traveled northeast and crossed Lee Road 453 where it caused minor structure damage and several trees were either snapped or uprooted. The tornado then crossed US Highway 280 and went into Chambers County along County Road 21 where it was at its widest and most destructive point. Numerous hardwood and softwood trees were uprooted and snapped. The tornado lifted just north of County Road 21. The tornado was 3.2 miles long and was 300 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado was rated an EF-1 with maximum winds around 90 mph.

5 WSW Faunsdale - 1 SSE Newbern
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in extreme northern Marengo and southeast Hale Counties near Faunsdale and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-1 tornado. The tornado touched down just south of Cedarcrest Lane in northeastern Marengo County near the communities of Siddonsville and Faunsdale. The tornado traveled northeast and crossed Cedarcrest Farms where it damaged several trees, barns and outbuildings. The tornado then crossed County Road 54 where it reached its maximum strength and width. Here, it uprooted and snapped several hardwood and softwood trees. The tornado continued northeast and crossed US Highway 80 where it entered Hale County. Several more trees sustained damage along County Road 12, County Road 10, and Alabama Highway 25 and Alabama Highway 61. The tornado lifted near Alabama Highway 61 just west of Perry County line. The tornado lifted just north of County Road 21. The tornado was 13.0 miles long and was 250 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado was rated an EF-1 with maximum winds around 90 mph.

8 W Stevenson - 5WNW Stevenson
A small area of tight rotation was observed within a line of strong thunderstorms west of the Stevenson area. A NWS and UAH survey team found EF-0 damage near the Allison area associated with this area of rotation. Numerous large tree branches and roof damage to a large farm shed was noted near CR-564. Additional tree damage converged near CR-53 and CR-54. Peak winds were 62 MPH.

4 ENE Pisgah - 10 NNW Ider
Significant damage was observed from the tornado along CR-117 and CR-159. Numerous hardwood and softwood trees were either uprooted or snapped at the trunk along CR-117 leading up to CR-159. The strongest winds of this tornado were recorded near this location. A one story day care center was completely destroyed and blown off its foundation. Preliminary info recorded 7 injuries at this location. The damage assessment team noted the structure was bolted the foundation, however the floor plates connecting to the foundation were observed to have some degree of degradation. This led to a preliminary assessment of a tornado of EF-3 strength with winds approx. 145 mph.

1.3 S Guin - 3.8 W Natural Bridge
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in southern Marion County and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-1 tornado. The same storm that produced the Lamar County Airport Tornado continued to move northeast, and eventually caused a tornado in Marion County. This tornado touched down about a mile south of the city of Guin on County Road 69. From there, the tornado quickly widened as it moved to the northeast. As the tornado crossed US Highway 43, it caused significant damage to the roof of a restaurant, and snapped and uprooted several large trees. The tornado then crossed County Roads 27 and 164, and Alabama Highway 253, causing damage to numerous trees and several outbuildings. As the tornado approached and crossed Interstate 22, the damage path narrowed and the damage was barely discernible. The damage path slowly widened again as passed to the northwest of the Brilliant Community, damaging many more trees. A wooden barn structure was significantly damaged on County Road 36 northwest of Brilliant. From there, the path continued northeast over mostly rural farmland, producing more tree damage on Alabama Highway 129, County Roads 46, 171, and 70, and Alabama Highway 233. From there, the tornado began to narrow once again, and it finally lifted near Crooked Creek Road, just south of US Highway 278. The tornado was 16.85 miles long and was 900 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado was rated an EF-1 with maximum winds around 90 mph.

3.1 WSW Lamar County Airport - 3.1 S Beaverton
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in Central Lamar County and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-1 tornado. The tornado touched down about 3 miles west southwest of the Lamar County Airport, near the intersection of Buck Jackson Road and Morris Road. There were several trees with large branches removed and a few trees that were snapped off. The tornado moved northeastward and crossed County Road 25 and Country Club Road. Several trees were snapped or uprooted and a few mobile homes suffered minor damage. The tornado then hit the Lamar County Airport at US Highway 17. Two hangers were destroyed, three planes were destroyed, several outbuildings were destroyed, one restaurant sustained roof damage, several mobile homes sustained minor damage and one home was destroyed. The tornado continued northeastward and produced more tree damage and minor mobile home damage on Pitts Road and Bluebird Road. Additional damage was located on Taylor Springs Road where several trees were uprooted and snapped off, a few homes sustained roof damage, and a few mobile homes were damaged. The tornado continued to snap off trees until it lifted near the intersection of County Road 49 and Garrison Road. The tornado was 9.69 miles long and was 600 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado was rated an EF-1 with maximum winds around 105 mph.

3 NW Union Grove
A tornado developed near Union Grove Road and Tinner Mayo Road intersection in the Union Grove Community. As it developed multiple trees were snapped and uprooted causing minor roof damage to one single family home. More significant home damage was sustained to another nearby single family house due to trees snapping and falling on the roof. As the tornado proceeded northeast to Tinner Mayo Road, it flipped a recreational vehicle and moved it into a single family home causing damage to the home and destroying the recreational vehicle. Meanwhile, the tornado caused shingles to come off the roof of this single family house. Further to the northeast, the tornado uplifted the roof of a storage shed for hay and caused minor roof damage to a double wide manufactured home.

7 SW Bryant - 6 S Bryant
A survey team from the University of Alabama-Huntsville (UAH) relayed reports of damage and geocoded photographs along CR-690, south of Bryant, AL (Jackson County). NWS Huntsville, after coordination with UAH and investigation of the photos and radar data, determined the damage was associated with a weak EF-1 tornado. The bulk of the damage was generally observed along CR-690, between CR-691 and CR-676. Damage indicators were limited to snapped soft wood trees and/or snapped large branches. While the majority of the damage was indicative of an EF-0 tornado, there was a small path of EF-1 damage just to the west of CR-676. In this area, several healthy softwood trees were snapped before the tornado weakened as it approached a ridge on the east side of CR-676.

6 NNE Arley - Nesmith
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in extreme eastern Winston County just southeast of Addison and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-1 tornado. This tornado touched down about 6 miles north northeast of Arley along County Road 66. A few trees and large branches were snapped off near the initial touch down. The tornado continued northeast and paralleled County Road 66. The tornado continued producing tree damage and at County Road 39, it produced roof damage to a home and outbuilding. Farther down County Road 66, a mobile home was rolled over, a garage was significantly damaged, and a carport was damaged. The tornado continued northeast were it damaged several other structures and took down many trees. The tornado crossed US Highway 278 and entered Cullman County near County Road 45. As it moved towards the small building the tornado uplifted the roof of the building causing the walls collapse and sending debris across a field. Then, as the tornado proceeded northeast it uplifted the metal roof on another single family building. This damage was consistent with EF-1 intensity and was the strongest damage with this portion of the tornado track. More trees were snapped just to the northeast of this position on County Road 1024 near another single family home before it lifted.

4 W Hytop - 3 W Hytop
The parent supercell thunderstorm that produced the Monte Sano EF-2 tornado also produced a separate area of rotation that caused the EF-1 Estillfork tornado. The NWS and UAH survey found significant softwood tree damage in the form of healthy and snapped pine trees along CR-9, east of the CR-9 and CR-141 intersection. The convergence of the down trees was evident at several locations along CR-9 and in the Estillfork area. Peak winds were determined to be 95 MPH.

3 ENE Huntsville - 3 N Princeton
More significant damage resumed near Ryland Pike near its intersection with Delta Pine Dr. Trees were snapped on Ryland Pike, then the tornado entered the Central Estates neighborhood. At least 15 houses had at least some roof decking removed in the neighborhood. A few houses had large sections of the roof structure removed, including one house on Moontown Road which had its entire roof and roof structure removed. Elsewhere around the neighborhood, many more houses had at least superficial damage to fascias and gutters, or had privacy fencing blown away. The Flint Ridge horse farm suffered significant damage. Nearly all of the tin roofing was removed from one large and one small horse barn, and a riding arena was completely destroyed. Nearly all of the trees within 50-75 yards of the farm buildings were snapped. The tornado was clearly at its strongest between the house that lost all roofing, and the horse farm damage. At this location, the peak intensity is set at 125 MPH, an EF-2 on the Enhanced Fujita scale. More information on Event Report.

1 SSE Arley - 2 E Nesmith
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in eastern Winston County near Arley and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-2 tornado. This tornado touched down in a wooded area just northeast of Southside Drive and southwest of Winston CR 3906. As it crossed Winston CR3906 and neared CR 12, the circulation became substantially stronger and snapped numerous pine trees and caused minor structure damage to two homes along CR 12. It continued to snap trees and cause minor structural damage as it crossed CR77/ Helicon Rd and Hosanna Highway. As it neared Hosanna Highway along the shores of Smith Lake, it intensified to EF-2 strength with wind speeds of 130 to 135 mph, rendering 4 homes as uninhabitable/destroyed. As the tornado crossed Smith Lake, it decreased intensity but widened to a maximum path width of 1000 yards. The tornado re-intensified and narrowed as it continued to move northeastward along CR77/Helicon Road, snapping and uprooting trees and damaging another 10 homes and several sheds and outbuildings, and snapping more than a quarter mile stretch of concrete power poles. The tornado continued to brush the south side of Helicon, destroying a Fire Department training building and passing over a community storm shelter. From there it continued northeastward across Winston CR 40 and weakened as it crossed into Cullman County approximately 2 miles ENE of Helicon. It continued across County Road 986, causing significant damage to a barn and snapping several hardwood and softwood trees. The tornado continued northeast, continued to snap trees and destroyed another shed as it crossed CR 946 and 939. It appeared to lift northeast of CR 939.

Danville Road - Herring Road
As the tornado moved northeast, it cross Singleton Road impacting more structures. Several homes sustained structural damage, mainly roof damage. One very large building was completely destroyed with another sustaining near collapse. The tornado then reached its maximum intensity as it crossed Boys Ranch Road on the eastern edge of Bogar Loop. Here a home suffered complete roof loss and partial wall collapse. An anchored mobile home was obliterated with the contents thrown over 100 yards. A motor cycle repair shop that included an anchor bolted large shop building was nearly wiped clean with motorcycles thrown or rolled large distances. An SUV parked here was thrown and then rolled about 75 yards. Damage here was consistent with lower end EF-3 damage at 140 mph. More information on Event Report.

2 S Ashridge - 1 ENE Ashridge
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in eastern Winston County in the Ashridge Community and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-2 tornado. The tornado touched down along County Road 55 just north of Macedonia Road. This location was about 4 miles northwest of Double Springs or 2 miles south of Ashridge. At the beginning point, one home lost a portion of its roof covering. The tornado moved north northeast and almost paralleled County Road 55. A chicken house sustained significant damage and one home suffered roof damage on County Road 3182. The tornado increased its intensity and width as it entered the Bankhead National Forest near Ashridge. Several homes and outbuildings sustained damage and numerous trees were snapped or uprooted. The EF-2 damage occurred just off County Road 55 south of Ashridge. Two mobile homes and one outbuilding were totally destroyed. Numerous power poles and trees were blown down. The tornado continued north northeast and crossed Alabama Highway 195, County Road 2 and eventually lifted near Jim Brown Road. Several structures sustained damage and many trees were snapped off on this final section of the tornado path. The tornado was 3.2 miles long and was 300 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado was rated an EF-2 with maximum winds around 125 mph.

3 SW Fowlers Crossroads - 2 SW Fowlers Crossroads
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in Fayette County near Flynn and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-0 tornado. A brief, weak tornado touched down near the intersection of Flynn Road and Alabama Highway 102. This location is about 3 miles southwest of Fowlers Crossroads or 10 miles northeast of Fayette. Some trees were knocked down along the short path. Minor roof damage to an outbuilding occurred near the end of the path. The tornado was 0.3 miles long and was 50 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado was rated an EF-0 with maximum winds around 65 mph.

5 E Haleyville - 5 ENE Haleyville
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in northwest Winston County near Forkville and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-1 tornado. The tornado touched down about 5 miles east northeast of Haleyville. At initial touch down along Chicken Foot Road, there were a few trees that were blown down and minor damage to a garage roof. The tornado continued northeastward where it snapped several power poles, one home suffered roof damage, and some garage doors were blown in. A metal pole and rafter barn was destroyed and the debris was scattered across a field. Toward the end of the path, several tree trunks were snapped off. The tornado was 0.4 miles long and was 100 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado was rated an EF-1 with maximum winds around 105 mph.

3 N Gu-Win - 2 WSW Lake Buttahatchee
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in southern Marion County near Twin and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-0 tornado. The tornado touched down about 3 miles north of Gu-Win, or just southwest of the Twin Community on County Road 250. The tornado damage was light and mainly consisted of tree and tree branch damage northeastward across County Road 3, Alabama Highway 253 and up to Interstate 22. The tornado proceeded northeastward and crossed County Road 95, County Road 36 and Vinston Road. More tree and tree branch damage was done on this part of the path. The tornado the passed Piney Grove Road, Alabama Highway 129 and lifted near County Road 170. More light tree damage occurred and a few outbuildings sustained damage in this area. The tornado was 10.6 miles long and was 150 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado was rated an EF-0 with maximum winds around 75 mph.

5 NE Ethelsville - 4 S Millport
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in northern Pickens County just northeast of Ethelsville and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-1 tornado. The tornado touched down about 5 miles northeast of Ethelsville on County Road 35. A few trees were snapped off around this location but the initial damage was rather minor. The tornado continued northeast and crossed Antiach Church Road where it continued snapping off and uprooting trees. The tornado then approached County Road 34 where the tornado was at its maximum intensity. Numerous trees were snapped off and were uprooted on both sides of the tornado path. Several outbuildings were either damaged or destroyed. The tornado continued northeast where it crossed Shawtone Road, Woodard Road, and Miller Road. The tornado lifted just before it crossed County Road 27. The tornado was 5.3 miles long and was 600 yards wide at its widest point. The tornado was rated an EF-1 with maximum winds around 95 mph. An additional note, there were sporadic trees blown down within one mile on the southern side path. This damage was due to strong inflow winds into the storm.

9 NNW Russellville - 7 SSW Tuscumbia
A supercell crossed over northern Franklin County Alabama and a tornado developed and touched down near Lost Creek Road on the northeast side of the Cedar Creek Reservoir. When it touched down, a number of hardwood trees, softwood trees, and power poles were snapped and a well built single family home lost a significant amount of the roofing material and the one occupant of the home was injured when the tornado occurred. The home also shifted with cracks noted on the concrete undergirding of the home. This is where the tornado was at its strongest (EF-2). The tornado quickly moved northeast snapping 10-20 trees and power poles as it moved towards the Frankfort Community along County Road 88. After crossing into Colbert County, more softwood and hardwood trees were snapped causing damage to a single wide manufactured home and car shed on Jones Road. More softwood and hardwood trees were snapped as the tornado continued northeast across County Road 49. Then, as the tornado continued to move northeast multiple softwood and hardwood trees were snapped close to Underwood Mountain Road before striking a single wide manufactured home. The single wide manufactured home sustained damage consistent with EF-1 rating with destruction of roof and walls leaving floor and undercarriage in place. Two people within this home sustained injuries. Another single family dwelling next to this manufactured home sustained damage uplift of the roof damage while more snapped hardwood trees were noted just to the northeast of these houses. This is also where the tornado had the largest width of 100 yards. The tornado then lifted shortly after this damage occurred.

1.9 SW Oakland
Several photos and video on social and broadcast media indicated a waterspout along or just offshore of Wheeler Reservoir on the Tennessee River , about 5 miles north-northwest of the city of Decatur. Time and location were estimated by radar , videos and photos. A storm survey was conducted , but no damage was observed onshore in Limestone County. A miniature supercell thunderstorm produced a waterspout on Lake Wheeler about 5 miles north-northwest of the city of Decatur near the shore of Limestone County. Along with nearby University of Alabama Huntsville ARMOR radar , the waterspout was photographed and video-graphed from several locations in Decatur that gave an approximate location and duration of the occurrence. The waterspout may have reached shore, but no damage was reported or observed as of yet.

4 N Hawkinsville - 5 NNE Hawkinsville
The tornado touched down in rural, southern Russell County just inside the county line and moved eastward and crossed Corbett Creek. Two pivot irrigation systems were flipped on a local farm, and a small metal shed was destroyed. The tornado then continued eastward and crossed Barbour Creek Road, where numerous small pine trees were snapped or uprooted along a short portion of the road, completely blocking the roadway. The tornado lifted just east of Barbour Creek Rd.

Boot Hill - 5 N Louisville
The tornado touched down just north of the intersection of County Road 9 and County Road 44 and continued eastward for approximately five miles before dissipating near County Road 31. Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted along the path.

4 SW Crawford - 3 SSW Ladonia
The tornado touched down on Stillwell Road just to the southwest of the Crawford Community. Just to the east, the tornado quickly intensified as it reached Richardson Road. EF-1 damage occurred at this location, with numerous large hardwood trees with large root balls uprooted. Winds were estimated at 90mph due to the magnitude of the tree damage at this location. The maximum width of 200 yards also occurred along Richardson Road. The tornado then continued eastward with intensity quickly diminishing. Only sporadic tree damage was noted farther east as the tornado crossed Boswell Road and Camp Parkman Road. The tornado downed a tree along Anna Kate Drive causing roof damage to a single family home before quickly lifting. Special thanks to the Russell County Emergency Management Agency for their help in conducting this survey.

4 NW Midway - 6 ENE Midway
The tornado began along County Road 35 where a few trees were snapped and uprooted. A debris signature was then seen on KMXX Doppler Radar as the tornado continued eastbound, uprooting additional trees between County Road 35 and County Road 47. The tornado intensified as it crossed County Road 47, where a church was heavily damaged, including wall and roof failures to over half of the building. Here, the tornado was rated a low-end EF-2. Adjacent trees were also snapped and uprooted, and a few nearby homes sustained minor damage. The most chaotic scene was observed on a farmstead just east of County Road 103. At this location, a swath of trees were snapped and uprooted. Large metal farm equipment buildings were heavily damaged or destroyed. This damage was consistent with an EF-2 tornado. The tornado then weakened a bit as it moved east through the property, but continued to down and snap trees. Debris from upstream damage at the farmstead was also seen scattered about the area, approximately one half mile downstream. Additional vegetative damage likely occurred as the tornado continued east, while dissipating, to near the Barbour/Russell County line in an area that was inaccessible.

5 SE Auburn - 2 ESE Beauregard
This tornado resulted from the same storm circulation that produced an EF-0 near The Greens Apartments toward the west. Initial damage was seen along County Road 47, between Society Hill Road and County Road 27, of which included a large downed tree, broken tree branches, and a few pieces of metal sheeting removed from an outbuilding. The tornado remained on the north side of County Road 47 for a period of time, producing additional vegetative damage. The circulation then ran along County Road 47, nearing Alabama Highway 51, where several trees were uprooted and snapped. The tornado then weakened as it moved east, dissipating at County Road 166, but still took down a few trees between Highway 51 and County Road 166.

5 SSW Auburn - 4 SSW Auburn
The first signs of tornadic damage were seen on Persimmon Drive, where several trees were uprooted. Tree branches were broken along Live Oak Drive, and two trampolines were lofted downstream. The tornado then crossed US-29 into The Greens Apartment Homes, where several trees were uprooted and snapped. Light shingle damage was seen on a few units as well. Dissipation of the tornado took place within the complex near the Clubhouse, though the circulation re-intensified toward the east and produced an additional EF-0 tornado (the Pierce Chapel Road Tornado).

4 WNW Shopton - 4 WNW Shopton
The tornado touched down just southwest of the intersection of US Highway 82 and Old Pike Road. The tornado crossed Old Pike Road and snapped a few trees before dissipating a short distance to the east. Also, a tornado debris signature was observed from the KMXX radar.

6 WSW Hardaway- 3 SW Hardaway
The tornado touched down near Alabama Highway 110 and tracked eastward for approximately 3 miles before dissipating near County Road 7. Along the path, several trees were snapped and uprooted.

5 SSE Montgomery - 2 W Pike Road
The tornado touched down near the intersection of Woodley Road and Virginia Loop Road. It caused only minor tree damage until it crossed US Highway 231 where significant damage occurred in the Pike Road Village Mobile Home Park. Numerous large trees were snapped and uprooted, some of which damaged or destroyed mobile homes. The tornado continued eastward and crossed Bean Road where a mobile home had its roof removed and was shifted off its foundation. The tornado lifted north of Meriwether Road.

0.7 S Beauregard - 1.8 E Beauregard
The tornado began near the intersection of State Road 51 and Lee Rd 47, where several pine trees were snapped and uprooted in a convergent pattern. One half mile to the east-northeast, the tornado caused shingle damage to a house along Lee Rd 114. The tornado continued for an additional 1.5 miles and caused minor tree and shingle damage before dissipating near the intersection of Lee Rd 400 and Lee Rd 166. Though the damage was relatively minor, a debris signature was evident in KMXX dual-pol radar data.

2 NE Hartselle - 7 SE Mooresville
The most significant structural damage occurred near the intersection of Thompson Lane and Peach Orchard Road. In this area, multiple sheds were completely destroyed and most of the shingles on the roof of a single family home were torn off. Once again, numerous pine trees were snapped. The tornado appeared to weaken slightly as it moved towards Upper River Road. There was some modest tree damage in a field east of Thomson Lane and many of the shingles on the roof of a single family home were damaged or removed.

2.1 S Locust Fork - 1.8 S Locust Fork
The tornado was very briefly on the ground near the intersection of Spunky Hollow Road and Sunrise Lane just south of Locust Fork. A metal storage barn with wood framing was heavily damaged and the intact roof was lofted nearly 50 yards. Additionally, a dozen softwood trees were uprooted and/or snapped in this area of damage. A brick home sustained only minor roof damage. Another home in the path sustained minor roof damage and a small pontoon boat was lofted into the side of the home. On the left edge of the path, a single family home suffered the loss of some roofing materials and windows broken by debris. Another dozen softwoods were uprooted and/or snapped with several hardwoods also uprooted. The tornado lifted just northeast of Sunrise Lane.

1.2 NW Boley Springs - 1.6 NNE Boley Springs
The short-lived tornado touched down near County Road 46 at the town of Boley Springs. The weak tornado tracked northeast and uprooted numerous trees along its path as it Crossed County Road 83. The roads were blocked by fallen trees at this point and the track could not be followed any farther.

2.9 NE Hubbertville - 3 SW Eldridge
The tornado touched down near the intersection of County Road 52 and County Road 18. The tornado tracked northeast and uprooted and snapped numerous trees as it crossed County Road 24. From there, it continued northeast along and just north of County Road 24 and produced tree damage before dissipating at Castleberry Road.

3.7 SE Bluff - 3.8 E Bluff
The tornado touched down near the intersection of County Road 51 and Turner Road. The tornado traveled northward along County Road 51 for about one mile uprooting and snapping trees, and then it damaged several wood frame barns and outbuildings. The tornado appeared to weaken and only produced minor tree damage as it crossed Turkey Creek and Kirkland Road. It continued north-northeast producing mainly tree damage before dissipating along County Road 21, about one-half mile south of County Road 42.

3.9 NNE Ethelsville - 6.1 NE Ethelsville
The tornado touched down near County Road 75 just south of Highway 34. Numerous trees were snapped and uprooted along County Road 75, and there was some minor roof and siding damage to a single residence. The tornado tracked east-northeast in an area that was not accessible by vehicle. The next damage area was along Mineral-Springs Church Road just south of Highway 34, where numerous trees were uprooted and snapped. The tornado continued eastward along Highway 34 and produced loss of shingles to a home and destroyed several outbuildings. The tornado crossed Shockley Road and produced considerable damage to a metal roof of a wood framed home and damage to several outbuildings. The tornado lifted just east of this damage.

2.4 NW Stafford - 2.8 NNW Stafford
The tornado started in Mississippi and crossed the state line into Pickens County about 2.3 miles south of Highway 82. The tornado tracked northeast and crossed Eagle Road and County Road 30 before dissipating just north of Highway 82. The damage along the path consisted mainly of snapped and uprooted trees. There was some minor damage to a mobile home as the tornado approached County Road 30.

1 SW Mackenzie - 0.7 SSW Mackenzie
The tornado touched down west of U.S. Highway 31, just south of McKenzie. It moved across the highway and lifted near Faust Road. A mobile home experienced minor damage and a shed was destroyed. A couple of hardwood trees were uprooted along the path.

Bradley
A brief tornado touch down occurred along Bradley Road just east of the intersection with Elm Drive. A brick home suffered significant roof damage and a large shed was destroyed. Two other sheds were damaged.

3.3 NW Opelika - 2.8 NE Opelika
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in North Central Lee County just north of Opelika and determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-0 tornado. Maximum winds were estimated to be around 70-75 mph. The tornado touched down just north of downtown Opelika, west of Oak Bowery Road where numerous trees were uprooted east of the road. The tornado then traveled east-southeast crossing Morris Avenue where additional small pine trees were uprooted. Further to the east, the tornado crossed U.S. 431 and Industrial Blvd. where minimal damage was observed. The tornado finally lifted near the Opelika sports complex on Andrews Road where several more soft and hardwood trees were snapped and uprooted. Along the path, 20 to 30 trees sustained damage. However, little to no structure damage was noted.

1.6 WSW Overbrook - 1.3 ESE Overbrook
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in Extreme Southeastern Talladega County just southeast of Sylacauga and have determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-0 tornado. Maximum winds were estimated to be around 80 mph.The tornado touched down along Settlement Road to the east of the Old Rockhouse. A few homes sustained shingle damage, and one outbuilding was destroyed, along with several uprooted trees at this location. The tornado continued northeast and knocked down trees and damaged several additional homes near Cherry and Heflin Lanes. The tornado turned to the east and tracked parallel to County Road 511. The most concentrated damaged occurred in the valley just west of the community of Overbrook, where numerous trees were snapped or uprooted. The tornado continued eastward and produced minor tree damage and lifted along County Road 511, just before the Clay County line. Six homes suffered damage and four outbuildings were damaged or destroyed.

0.5 SSE McAdory High School - 1.5 ENE Bessemer Airport
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in Western Jefferson County just east of McCalla and south of Bessemer and have determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-2 tornado. Maximum winds were estimated to be around 120-125 mph.The tornado touched down just east of McAdory High School on the west side of Overlook Circle with some damage to a roof. There were 12 homes and 1 church that suffered minor damage up to this point as the tornado proceeded east crossing Harper's Dairy Loop. From here it strengthened to an EF-2 as it crossed the Bent Brook neighborhood where it destroyed 6 homes and caused significant damage to 6 other homes. The pro shop at Bent Brook Golf Course also sustained minor damage along with a vehicle overturned. The tornado weakened back to an EF-1 as it moved east of the golf course and caused minor damage to 2 more homes and destroyed a free standing garage. The tornado finally lifted just east of Morgan Road on Rice Circle. In total, 14 homes sustained minor damage, 6 sustained substantial damage, and 6 homes were destroyed. An additional 3 buildings sustained damage, along with several hundred trees snapped or uprooted along the path. Damage before the start point was caused by straight-line winds from the rear flank downdraft that was associated with the storm.

3.7 SW Columbiana - 2.6 WSW Columbiana
A short tornado path was observed along CR-65 just to the east of its intersection with Highway 95. Many large trees were snapped or uprooted along this short path.

A short tornado path was observed along CR-65 just to the east of its intersection with Highway 95. Many large trees were snapped or uprooted along this short path.

2 NE Balkum
A short tornado track was determined along CR-53 just north of its intersection with CR-26. This was a concentrated area of damage with large trees uprooted and snapped near a residence. One of the trees had a small amount of debarking with large limbs removed.

2 W Headland - 1 NW Headland
This tornado was the fifth tornado to be spawned by the same thunderstorm in southeast Alabama, this time in Henry County. The tornado initially developed near CR-83 and the city limits of Headland, where large trees were uprooted. The tornado crossed a wooded area near a creek and then ended near Knowles Rd and CR-16 where a house had roof damage, an RV was overturned, a shed was destroyed, and some large trees were uprooted.

3 NNW Dothan - 2 WNW Kinsey
This was the fourth tornado to develop in northwest Houston County, spawned by the same thunderstorm. The tornado began just south of Westgate Parkway, and then quickly intensified - snapping 5 power poles near Westgate Parkway and Technology Drive. Several houses in nearby neighborhoods had some roof damage and a barn also had roof damage. The remainder of the track was mostly tree damage, with the tornado ending just south of the Henry-Houston County border, still in Houston County.

4 NW Dothan - 4 NNW Dothan
This was the third tornado to develop in northwest Houston County, spawned by the same thunderstorm. Damage was focused at the athletic center of a private school and a nearby neighborhood. Concrete block baseball dugout was destroyed and several wood power poles were snapped. Multiple homes had minor roof damage.

4 SSE Pinckard - 4 SE Midland City
This was the second tornado to develop in northwest Houston County, spawned by the same thunderstorm. After initially developing in Houston County, the tornado crossed into extreme southeast Dale County before moving back into Houston County in the Murphy Mill Road area. There was a small area of EF1 damage along Murphy Mill Road where many large diameter pine trees were snapped and uprooted. This tornado likely lifted before reaching U.S. Highway 231.

1NNW Bailey Crossroad - 2 S Hollis Dairy Road
This was a weak tornado just north of the Houston and Geneva County border. It removed metal roofing from several barns and porches. Multiple trees were blown down.

5 S Pigeye - 5 WSW Hackleburg
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in northern Marion County just southwest of Hackleburg and have determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-1 tornado. Maximum winds were estimated to be around 95 mph. The tornado touched down just south of the intersection of Robert Dyer Road and Howell Road, just off of US Hwy 43 southwest of Hackleburg. From there, the tornado moved on a north-northwest path and crossed Spurgen Dyer Road and Marion County Road 41. The tornado ultimately lifted after it crossed State Rock Road, just east of CR-32. Damage along the path was largely limited to trees that were either uprooted or snapped. A garage near the start of the path had part of its tin peeled back, and one home near the intersection of CR-41 and CR-167 received minor damage to its roof.

3 ENE Reform - 5 NNE Pickens Airport
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in rural northern Pickens County just northeast of Reform and have determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-0 tornado. Maximum winds were estimated to be around 85 mph. The tornado touched down in a wooded area near Wild Goose Creek, due south of the intersection of Ollie Bonner Road and Pickens County Road 49. From there, it moved on a slightly west of due north path as it crossed CR-49 and CR-3. The tornado ultimately lifted just north of where Beaver Creek Road crosses over Beaver Creek. The tornado remained over a rural and wooded area through almost its entire path, and damage largely consisted of trees that were either uprooted or snapped. In the area near Ollie Bonner Road and CR-49, one home and one shed each received minor roof damage.

5.7 SW Crawford - 1.5 NNE Crawford
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in northern Russell County and extreme southern Lee County and have determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-0 tornado. Winds were estimated to be around 75 mph. The tornado touched down just southwest of Padgett Road in northwestern Russell County, where sporadic tree damage was noted. As the tornado continued northeastward, the most significant tree damage was observed along Brown Road, where numerous trees were uprooted or snapped in a sporadic pattern. The tornado paralleled Brown Road for several miles, where a few homes sustained shingle damage. An outbuilding along Brown Road just southwest of Crawford sustained heavy roof damage. An uninhabited single family home sustained damage as a large cedar tree fell onto it just north of Crawford along Bleeker Road. The final tree damage from the tornado was noted just inside the Lee County line along County Road 179.

7.6 SW Hugley - 1.4 WNW Hugley
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in northwestern Russell County and have determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-1 tornado. Winds were estimated to be around 90 mph. The tornado touched down just southwest of Huguley Road, where it quickly intensified and snapped or uprooted numerous trees. The tornado achieved maximum intensity at this location, with winds around 90 mph. The most concentrated tree damage to mostly softwood trees was also observed. Moving quickly northeastward, the tornado crossed Capps Road, Phillips Road, Willis Valley Road, and Herring Road. A large steel truss shed was completely destroyed on Herring and lofted upward over power lines. An adjacent single family home sustained shingle damage, and a brick chimney collapsed. These were the only structures damaged in this tornado. Continuing northeastward, the tornado crossed U. S. Highway 80. Sporadic tree damage was noted along Green Dudley Road before ending at Thomas Road.

4 SSW Brundidge - 4 SE Brundidge
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in southern Pike County and have determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-1 tornado. Winds were estimated to be around 105 mph. The tornado formed along a QLCS and first touched down over an area of clear-cut forest just northwest of AL Hwy 125, approximately 1.5 miles west-southwest of U.S. Hwy 231. Shortly after touching down, it reached its peak wind speeds of approximately 105 mph, where it uprooted or snapped 50 to 100 pine trees across a path that approached AL Hwy 125. A mobile home was destroyed and a home was damaged due to the falling trees. It continued east-northeast and crossed U.S. Hwy 231 about 9/10 of a mile south of the intersection of AL Hwy 125 and U.S. Hwy 231. The tornado caused minor roof damage to a home along U.S. Hwy 231, and then destroyed a partially covered horse arena before crossing an open field and snapping numerous trees along the tree line. From there, the tornado crossed Pike County Road 4423 and continued on the same path as it crossed Pike County Road 4421. Numerous trees were snapped or uprooted at both locations. The tornado appeared to broaden and weaken rapidly after crossing County Road 4421.

3.75 NNW Red Level - 7.6 N Red Level
The tornado first produced sporadic tree damage on Lloyd Mill Road. The tornado reached peak intensity of EF-1 strength when it moved across Swinson Road and destroyed a single wide mobile home. One person in the home suffered minor injuries. The tornado continued northeast and produced further sporadic tree damage and minor roof damage to a few residences. It lifted and dissipated on Boykin Road just south of the Butler County Line.

2.1 SE Johnsonville - 3.6 E Johnsonville
The tornado touched down south of County Road 6 and quickly strengthened as it crossed the road. The tornado produced EF-2 intensity damage at the Johnsonville Volunteer Fire Department which was completely destroyed. Significant tree damage was noted in the area and a well built home suffered extensive roof damage. The tornado continued to the northeast toward the Johnsonville Circle area where a few homes suffered roof damage. A single wide mobile home on Johnsonville Circle which was not anchored was destroyed. Damage in this area was consistent with EF-1 intensity. The tornado lifted in the woods just to the northeast of the end of Clinton Drive.

2 S Mathews - Mathews
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in northeastern Montgomery County and have determined that the damage was consistent with an EF-0 tornado. Winds were estimated to be around 80 mph. The tornado first touched down just south of Lawson Road, where it toppled 2 trees. It then proceeded northeast and paralleled Lawson Road. As the tornado approached Flowers Road, additional damage occurred to a metal building, where a portion of the roof and side panels were removed. Here, the tornado was at its strongest point with winds estimated at 80 mph. Roughly 300 yards past Flowers Road, additional 80 mph winds associated with the tornado collapsed another outbuilding. The tornado continued northeast, and additional large limbs were down until the tornado lifted before reaching Dani Lane.

Flomaton - 1.2 NW Pollard
The tornado first touched down southwest of Lambert-Ridge Road southwest of McDavid. The tornado gradually increased in strength and width as it continued northeast toward Century. The first EF-2 intensity damage noted was on Holland Drive where a workshop was completely destroyed. The tornado reached its peak intensity (widespread EF-2 damage with isolated EF-3 damage) as it moved into Century. Numerous homes were damaged or destroyed. A couple of homes experienced complete loss of the roof with only the walls of small interior rooms remaining. The tornado continued to track northeast out of Century and across the Florida Alabama State Line. EF-2 intensity damage was found on Old Fannie Road east of Flomaton. The tornado continued northeast toward Pollard where it weakened and lifted. Extensive tree damage was noted along the path with numerous softwood and hardwood trees either uprooted or snapped. Several power poles were also snapped. Damage was also noted on the periphery of the tornado due to straight line winds produced from the rear flank downdraft.

3 SE Ethelsville - 6.2 ENE Ethelsville
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in Pickens County and have determined that the damage is consistent with an EF-0 tornado. Winds were estimated to be around 85 mph. The tornado touched down between Keasler Road and Heritage Road just north of the railroad tracks. It moved northeast crossing County Road 30, County Road 35, U.S. Highway 82, and Price Road Causing only tree damage. The tornado lifted before reaching County Road 45.

3.7 S Beaverton - 2 E Beaverton
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in northern Lamar County and have determined that the damage is consistent with an EF-1 tornado. Winds were estimated to be around 105 mph. The tornado touched down along Christain Road near Taylor Springs Road. It moved north-northeast and caused major roof damage to one residence at the intersection of Pond Road and Garrison Road. From there, the tornado turned more to the northeast snapping and uprooting trees as it crossed County Road 49, Piney Grove Road, Pinewood Circle, and Turkey Branch Road. One residence on Pinewood Circle sustained minor shingle damage. The tornado continued northeast causing only tree damage until it lifted along Sorghum Hollow Road.

1 NW Ashcraft Corner - 3 SE Belk
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in Fayette County and have determined that the damage is consistent with an EF-1 tornado. Winds were estimated to be around 90 mph. The tornado touched down along Ashcraft Corner Cutoff and tracked northeast almost paralleling Alabama Highway 159 between County Roads 1 and 2. It then continued northeast along Owens Road before lifting along County Road 4. The damage consisted mainly of snapped and uprooted trees. The only structural damage found along the path was minor shingle and porch damage to one residence at the intersection of Alabama Highway 159 and Summers Drive.

5 WSW Cochrane - 6 NNE Carrollton
National Weather Service meteorologists surveyed damage in Pickens County and have determined that the damage is consistent with an EF-2 tornado. Winds were estimated to be around 135 mph. The tornado, produced by cyclic supercell coming out of Mississippi, first touched down in southwestern Pickens County south of AL Hwy 32 and west of County Road 87. From there, it continued on a north-northeastward path on a diagonal across a large part of Pickens County. The tornado was caught live on Camera by local media just after it crossed the intersection of Hwy 32 and County Road 1, just west of Cochrane. It continued northeast to the Cochrane Campground on the Tombigbee River, where scores of trees were snapped, causing minor damage to one of the buildings on the campground. The tornado first reached EF-2 magnitude as it crossed private wooded land just south of County Road 78 snapping and uprooting hundreds of trees. As the tornado crossed Huff-Barnett Road, it mowed down a wide swath of trees, with a distinct classic convergence pattern of tree fall just east of Beaver Creek. The tornado continued northeastward across Al Hwy 14 causing damage to the federal prison, and then moved on to the Martin Luther King Road/Sapp community northwest of Aliceville. Here, the tornado reached its highest rated strength (EF-2) damage. Many of the homes in this portion of the Sapp community received some extent of damage, and several were destroyed. From there, the weakening tornado continued north-northeastward roughly parallel to AL Hwy 17 over open and forested rural Pickens County until it passed just west of Carrollton. The tornado reintensified and broadened somewhat, with a more significant tree-fall causing damage to a few homes on the west side of Carrollton. The tornado continued on the same north-northeastward path gradually weakening over rural areas before lifting near Herbert Windle Road southwest of Reform.
