Severe Thunderstorms Possible Northeast PA Sunday

It will gradually become partly sunny this afternoon. A warm front will bring a mix of rain and snow showers tonight. Sunday will be warmer, but a low pressure system will bring rain showers to the region during the day. Some strong to severe thunderstorms may develop in Northeast PA Sunday afternoon into the early evening (mainly 3PM -7PM). Overnight, rain showers will transition to snow showers and rain/snow mix.

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms will be possible Sunday afternoon-early evening (mainly between 3PM and 7PM). While the greatest threat for severe thunderstorms will be farther to the south, a few strong to severe thunderstorms may clip parts of Northeast PA (especially towards Hazleton).
