Atmospheric River in the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies this Weekend

A Pacific storm and atmospheric river will impact the Pacific Northwest states and northern Rockies this weekend, bringing locally heavy low elevations rain and heavy high elevation snow in the mountains. Severe Weather - August 25, 2020

Several clusters of thunderstorms moved southeast through the region on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 25, 2020. These storms developed in a very hot and humid air mass, favorable for producing downbursts (straight-line winds). A few storms also produced severe hail.
