Atmospheric River in the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies this Weekend

A Pacific storm and atmospheric river will impact the Pacific Northwest states and northern Rockies this weekend, bringing locally heavy low elevations rain and heavy high elevation snow in the mountains. Heavy Rain & Flooding


Slow-moving thunderstorms developed in an unstable airmass across the region during the afternoon and evening hours, producing several instances of heavy rain and flooding/flash flooding -- especially across portions of central Ohio. Rainfall up to 2-4 inches in a very short period of time produced rapid rises of water onto roads and in several neighborhoods.
