Atmospheric River in the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies this Weekend

A Pacific storm and atmospheric river will impact the Pacific Northwest states and northern Rockies this weekend, bringing locally heavy low elevations rain and heavy high elevation snow in the mountains. Heavy Rain and Flooding


Slow moving thunderstorms in a very moist environment produced instances of torrential rainfall in many areas which already had saturated soils due to previous heavy rain. Numerous reports of flooding were received, with some spots picking up nearly 3" of rain over a very short period of time.
