Extreme HeatRisk and Severe Weather Concerns

Major to Extreme HeatRisk continues for parts of the Mississippi Valley, mid-Atlantic and Northeast today. Additional heat concerns are increasing for the Pacific Northwest this week. Meanwhile, a cold front continues to track southward across the center of the nation. THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN WILMINGTON OH WILL CONDUCT
A SECOND DAY OF STORM SURVEYS TODAY, WITH RESPECT TO THE THE MAY 
27-28 STORMS. SURVEY TEAMS TODAY WILL BE FOCUSED ON THE FOLLOWING
LOCATIONS: SOUTHERN HARDIN COUNTY, EASTERN GREENE COUNTY, SOUTHERN
MIAMI COUNTY, AND SOUTHERN DARKE COUNTY.

FINAL ASSESSMENTS, INCLUDING RESULTS OF THE SURVEYS, WILL BE MADE
AVAILABLE AS TIME PERMITS TODAY AND TOMORROW.

Below is a map of areas where circulations, potentially producing tornadoes, impacted parts of our region. Tornadoes did not necessarily occur in every indicated area, but multiple tornadoes have occurred. We will be surveying many of these areas in the coming days.
