A Pacific storm and atmospheric river will impact the Pacific Northwest states and northern Rockies this weekend, bringing locally heavy low elevations rain and heavy high elevation snow in the mountains. Slow-moving storms developed in a warm and humid airmass across the local area during the afternoon hours. These storms produced instances of small hail, gusty winds, and torrential rainfall. The slow movement of the storms allowed for excessive rainfall rates and numerous reports of flooding and flash flooding.
