Strong to severe thunderstorms are possible from the central Plains to the Northeast through this evening. Widespread damaging winds are the primary threat but hail and a tornado or two is also possible. An upper level disturbance moved through the Ohio Valley on the morning of January 15th producing light snowfall. Afterwards, a clipper system moved through the region producing more snowfall into the overnight hours.
