A rare winter storm impacting the Southern U.S. will move offshore Wednesday morning. An aluminum awning was pulled off the front of a home and carried few hundred ft, where it fell to the ground. A few isolated trees were also knocked down. One of the trees fell on a wooden fence, destroying a section of the fence. For reference... The National Weather Service in Wilmington OH has confirmed a Microburst /Straight Line Wind Damage/ near Morning View in Campbell County Kentucky on March 1 2017. The damage began just to the north of Wolf Road where a barn was 80 percent destroyed by a strong gust of wind from the west. The debris from the barn was thrown to the east for several hundred yards. At a neighboring house, a large limb fell on a home. Additionally a large tree, about a 100 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet in diameter, was knocked down between the house and a detached garage. The tree appeared to be partially diseased. Farther east at the corner of Wolf Road and Clay Ridge, two barns were damaged. The first barn had the roof partially peeled back from west to east. The other barn was missed some siding and had minor roof damage. This was the end of the damage path. For reference...
