THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN WILMINGTON OH HAS CONFIRMED A TORNADO 2 W MT. OLIVET IN ROBERTSON COUNTY KENTUCKY ON JUNE 4TH 2014. AFTER REVIEWING VIDEO...EYE WITNESS ACCOUNTS...CIRCULATION ON RADAR...AND SURVEYING OF MINOR TREE AND PROPERTY DAMAGE...A DETERMINATION WAS MADE THAT A TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN WEST OF MOUNT OLIVET. THE TORNADO TOUCHED DOWN IN AN AREA OF TREES NEAR THE INTERSECTION OF 2897 (CHAPEL ROAD) AND 539 (PINHOOK ROAD). IN ADDITION...MINOR SIDING DAMAGE OCCURRED TO A HOUSE ALONG 539. THE TORNADO TRACKED TO THE SOUTHEAST AND CAUSED SPORADIC TREE DAMAGE ALONG THE NARROW PATH. AT THE END OF THE PATH THE TORNADO LIFTED PART OF THE ROOF OF A BARN. THIS DAMAGE WAS CONSISTENT WITH AN EF0 TORNADO...WITH MAXIMUM WINDS OF 65 MPH. THE PATH LENGTH WAS 0.6 MILES LONG AND ABOUT 60 YARDS IN WIDTH.
