Snow Event

A strong upper-level disturbance moved through the Ohio Valley from the evening of Friday, February 14, through the morning of Saturday, February 15. Along with surface low pressure, which crossed east across the state of Kentucky, this allowed for an extended period of snow to develop for the NWS Wilmington forecast area. The heaviest snow fell across the southern half of the forecast area, including areas near Cincinnati, Chillicothe, and Portsmouth.
