Dangerous Cold Weather for Most of the Country; Rare Winter Storm for the South; Fire Weather Concerns for Southern California

Arctic air will filter south and east through early this week. As this cold air moves across the South, a rare winter storm is forecast to develop from Texas, Gulf Coast States into the Southeast through early this week. PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WILMINGTON OH 303 PM EDT WED APR 20 2011 ...NWS METEOROLOGISTS SURVEY DETERMINES DAMAGE NEAR FAYETTEVILLE OHIO IN BROWN COUNTY FROM STRAIGHT LINE WINDS... THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE IN WILMINGTON OH HAS CONDUCTED A STORM SURVEY FOR THE AREA 4 MILES SOUTH OF FAYETTEVILLE OHIO IN BROWN COUNTY. THE SURVEY IS IN RELATION TO THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS THAT MOVED THROUGH THE AREA EARLY THIS MORNING. THE DAMAGE HAS BEEN DETERMINED TO BE FROM STRAIGHT LINE WINDS NEAR 100 MPH.
