Atmospheric River in the Pacific Northwest and Northern Rockies this Weekend

A Pacific storm and atmospheric river will impact the Pacific Northwest states and northern Rockies this weekend, bringing locally heavy low elevations rain and heavy high elevation snow in the mountains. Severe Storms & Flooding


Two waves of thunderstorms impacted the region on June 27. The first moved from the Tri-State region east and northeast during the afternoon hours. The second moved southeast through the region during the evening hours. There were scattered reports of wind damage during both events, and flash flooding occurred with the slow moving evening line of storms (mainly from Wilmington to Cincinnati).
