Major Winter Storm to Bring Snow and Ice from the Central Plains to the Mid-Atlantic; Severe Weather in the Lower Mississippi Valley

A major winter storm will produce significant snow and ice from the Central Plains through Mid-Atlantic. Heavy snowfall and wind gusts will create blizzard conditions in the Central Plains and freezing rain is forecast from central Kansas through the central Appalachians. A streamline analysis is a depiction of the surface wind field. Streamlines are drawn parallel to the wind.
