Heavy Rains from the Plains to the East; Fire Weather Risk in the Desert Southwest

Thunderstorms, some severe, may produce heavy to excessive rainfall and isolated flooding over portions of the Southern Plains through Saturday. Green Bay

The average temperature for Fall (Sep, Oct, Nov.) was 53.8°.  This ranked 2nd all time, with 54.8° being the warmest in 1931.

The high climbed to 70° on November 1.  This was the 5th warmest temperature recorded in the month of November.  74° was the warmest which was observed on 11/1/1933, 11/9/1999 and 11/4/2008.  November 2016 also set a record for the least number of heating degree days at 608. The previous record was 639 days in 2001.

 

Wausau

The average temperature for Fall (Sep, Oct, Nov.) was 51.2°.  This ranked 2nd all time, with 52.4° being the warmest in 1931.

November 2016 came in second place for the least number of heating degree days at 707. The record is 683 days in 2001.

 

Rhinelander

The average temperature for Fall (Sep, Oct, Nov.) was 49.3°.  This ranked 3rd all time, with 51.3° being the warmest in 1963.

The high climbed to 70° on November 5 and 6.  This was the 5th warmest temperature recorded in the month of November.  74° was the warmest which was observed on 11/1/1933.  November 2016 also set a record for the least number of heating degree days at 744. The previous record was 760 days in 2001.
