Heavy Rainfall for Portions of the West and Central U.S.; Monitoring Fire Weather Conditions for New England

Tropical moisture continues to flow across portions of the Great Basin, desert Southwest and California. Isolated instances of flash flooding remains possible. Meanwhile, a storm and associated frontal boundary will focus showers and thunderstorms for the center of the nation. Dense fog, with visibilities of a quarter of a mile or less will continue through 9 am across portions of central and much of northeast Wisconsin.  The dense fog should gradually lift after 9 am. A dense fog advisory is in effect until 9 am for portions of central and much of northeast Wisconsin. If you must travel early this morning, use your low beam headlights and allow extra time to reach your destination.
