Online 2022 Skywarn Storm Spotter Classes LIVE
February 22nd and March 21st, 31st
SKYWARN™ Storm Spotters are one of the greatest resources for the National Weather Service during severe weather. Our radar and satellite technology continue to improve; however, these instruments only tell us part of the story.  Your ground truth reports complete the picture that our weather instruments are trying to show us. Without reports from our weather spotters, our mission to protect lives and property would be hindered.
The National Weather Service in Goodland, Kansas is offering LIVE online storm spotter classes. The training will be presented live online and will not be recorded ahead of time. This means that you will get to ask your questions directly to the NWS meteorologists giving the presentation from the comfort of your couch. All classes will have the same material (so you only need to attend one of them!).
These interesting and informative classes are open to the public of all ages and free of charge! If you would like to serve your local community by becoming a volunteer storm spotter, or if you simply want to learn more about severe weather on the High Plains, we look forward to you attending one of these virtual classes. Find the date that fits your schedule best and click on its corresponding link below to register!
